Calm, Cool, Collected. No Really.
Aug. 10th, 2004 11:15 pmOkay, so not really. Because Ultraviolet came today!! And Jack Davenport is so v. pretty in it. *points at icon* He just is. The man has got nice hands. And eyes. And voice. And yeah, I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture. And he's talented. Which isn't a surprise really, but it helps to see this and Coupling and PotC to really appreciate the range there. I don't think three characters could be more different, and yet he's fantastic everywhere.
ANYway. Ultraviolet, yeah. Mom and I have been watching it throughout the afternoon and I'm really liking it. Good investment. Go me. I'm going to have to watch it all again, and probably more, to really catch everything and appreciate it.
It was kind of funny this afternoon though. I've been waiting for this to get here for several days now and today when I got the mail and it was there I was all prepared to sit down and start watching. Just as I'm turning on my computer and settling down with a mocha, Grandma comes over to get the mail. Which also means she's come over to talk. And talk some more. Which meant there I was with my computer turned on, my mocha chilled, Ultraviolet taken out of the shiny plastic wrapping waiting to be watched, and I was up in the kitchen nodding politely and being understanding because teenage boys are stupid. It was torture. And then I had to go over and help her remove some curtains from a tension rod so that she could wash them, which meant waiting even longer to watch my shiny new DVD. Sigh.
Obviously it all worked out and I've since then been watching it quite without interruption. Except for when I had to go back and help her put the curtains back on the rod. No problem.
Tomorrow I'm going with her to Wenatchee to do some shopping and have lunch. Because I don't hang out with my grandma enough. And I love her loads for all of the talking she does. *kisses to her*

It strikes me that this quiz result is actually kind of appropriate considering what I've been watching. And I didn't even cheat.
