I'll be what I will be
Dec. 11th, 2002 06:21 pmOK, so first one little rant. FX! cut out another seemingly random Buffy episode. Today they showed the fiasco of Xander and Anya's non-wedding and as soon as it ended they skipped to the fiasco of Spike and Anya drunkingly shagging. Totally skipped the episode in between with strangely homocidial Buffy. And it just now occurs to me that these characters really have issues.
Now, larger rant, slightly continuing from my last post. Does ANYONE pay attention during class meetings?? Does anyone CARE??? Asked Amanda today about getting a raffle set up.
Me: Have you contacted anyone about our raffle?
Her: What raffle?
Me: The one during the basketball game.
Her: What basketball game?
Me: One of them next week, either the 20 or 21.
Her: We're having a raffle?
Me: You were at the meeting too!
And she's the one who keeps the minutes! She's the secretary! She wrote it all down! Why, why, why? So, before I left today I stopped by to talk to Ms. B about it. I asked if she had heard anything back from people. No, she hadn't. I said I'd get ahold of a few people. Then I related the Amanda story and we briefly talked about how frustrating it was that no one does anything. Ever. Or so it seems. So, I'm going to work on this. I don't care if I'm the only one working on it. Everyone else can go jump off a high bridge over troubled water.
Bah, humbug.
I suppose I could mention SU now. It was fun, and very informative. And highly crowded. 285 applicants were there, plus any parents and/or siblings. Highest number of applicants they've ever had. So, I'll know by Christmas whether or not I made the thirty. *crosses odd number of fingers* Wish me luck!!
Howard Shore is a genius. Hand him the Oscar now, Academy.
