It's an important question.

Blasphemy! Based on a conversation I once had. Except no one had been drinking. This has been sitting in my catch-all fic folder since March. Thought I'd go ahead and post it.


Dean is drunk.

Sam's used to it, but Castiel looks somewhere between curious and highly uncomfortable with the way Dean is sprawling drunkenly against his side.

"I think you've had enough, Dean," Cas says, looking concerned. Sam adds it to his list. Drunk Dean Makes Cas: curious, uncomfortable, concerned.

Dean chuckles lowly against Cas shoulder. "What would Jesus do?"

Crap, Sam thinks. This can't be going anywhere good.

"He would stop partaking in alcoholic beverages," Castiel answers.

"No." Dean shakes his head, face earnest, and pushes himself into a more upright position. "What would Jesus do?”

Cas remains silent, blinking down at Dean’s face.

“He'd do you."

Sam almost chokes on his beer. It's a close call.

Castiel stares at Dean, appalled, before disappearing in an almost silent flutter of wings.

Without Cas beside him, Dean flops against the seat of the booth with an, "Oof."

There's silence from that side for a moment before Dean's voice floats up. "Hey," he says. "Where'd he go?"

Sam sets his beer down and wipes at what's escaped onto his chin. "I think he finally found his limit."

Haha, well. My roommate and I would put pictures up on our walls in college. Art we liked, ads that caught our eye, pictures of actors. I put my foot down at the (really quite nice) depection of Jesus she found because I was not going to have Jesus staring at me from the wall. (I'm not a huge fan of people staring out of pictures anyway.) So she took the picture and held it up and said, "What would Jesus do? He'd do you."

I fell off my chair laughing.

And that's the story. Basically. :D

Maybe there's a hung-over apology later. "I'm sorry, Cas. What I meant was, uh. What I meant was I'd do you."
