"Each player of this game starts off with 10 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird habits/things/little known facts as well as stating this rule clearly. At the end you need to choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names."
(I'm not going to tag anyone. Do it if you want to.)
1. When reading anything, I have to mark the words I don't know for later definition. Not just like to, have to. If I skip one, thinking it's not important, it will bug me until I go back and mark it. I do not, however, end up looking all of these words up. I just like knowing that they're already marked and ready to be found.
2. I usually check my phone constantly before a movie starts in the theater, even though I know that I've silenced it and turned it off. Sometimes I will put it in my pocket for easy reach just in case I've fooled myself into thinking that it's off.
3. I'm sort of maybe a little afraid of frogs. But I love them, too. Just don't put any real ones near me.
4. I worry sometimes that my fear of the unknown and my dislike of being out of my comfort zone will keep me from going places and doing things.
5. I’m always surprised when people like me.
6. Sometimes I will listen to slash on my MP3 player while I’m at work.
7. I worry that I’m not as smart as everyone else seems to think I am and that one day they’ll figure this out and be terribly disappointed.
8. I have a small-ish collection of action figures ranging from Jane Austen and Ichabod Crane to Jack O’Neill and Daniel Jackson. There’s even a James Joyce finger puppet/magnet. They’re arranged around the apartment and my roommate and I have lots of fun making them do things.
9. Music moves me a great deal, particularly scores and classical music. Just listening to something, sometimes no matter what my mood previously, can make me tear up. (Yeah, I’m a big baby.)
10. I’m pretty introverted, except for those times when I’m not.
This was harder for me to do than it probably should have been. I think that's because most of the stuff I thought of was already things I post about here, thus defeating the purpose of exposing things people don't already know. And while there were maybe a couple of things I could have written, I chose not to because they're more personal and really? I don't think I'm in denial when I say that all in all I'm pretty happy with the type of person I am and who I'm turning out to be.
Also, writing the first two one right after the other kind of freaked me out, even though I'm well aware of all those habit/tic-things that I have.
