I'm pretty sure I enjoyed at. It frustrated me a bit while reading, but in the end I think I like it. At the moment though, "Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" is still my favorite Eliot poem. This could change tomorrow.

What are you going to compare it to? I'm sure there's plenty of stuff to that deals with the same issues. Still, you get to read Eliot. Yay!

Well, so far we've been reading/talking about allusions and creativity and originality. We read a book by Northrop Frye and an essay by Eliot about these things as well as varied reviews about "The Waste Land." I think that basically now we're going to discuss whether or not Eliot is original or not, whether he is just borrowing other people's ideas, etc.

I'm interested to see what will happen in class tomorrow.
