Well
Stargate Atlantis has been cancelled.
At first I had mixed feelings about it because I've had mixed feelings about the current season. But now I'm stuck on the fact that TV viewing wise I'll be losing two of the characters that I have loved the most in anything. I'm not sure what to do with that. :(
But, as my mom pointed out, there will always be fandom. Which is something.
And then there was last night's Eureka. I refuse to believe that what we saw happen to Stark last night was the end of him. For one, he deserved more. Plus, he didn't get all charred up like the other guy. So I am hoping what with the type of amazing things that can and do happen in Eureka, Nathan will show up again.
I didn't watch Eureka very closely last season, shame on me, but I've been really enjoying Nathan since feeling kind of "meh" about him at the beginning of season one. Also, previously this wasn't one of those shows that I really saw the slash for, except this season I've been seeing it everywhere. I don't know what happened.
Randomly, I thought that the woman they got to play Carter's sister actually looked like she could be related. Go casting.
Project Runway - 5.06
Liked: Joe, Kenley, Korto, Leanne, Suede, Terri
Borderline: Jerell, Stella, Blayne
Meh: Daniel, Keith
Nobody complained about this being beneath them! (At least that I can remember.) Good for them!
- In the end, the challenge came down to Joe and Terri for me. Either could have won and I'd have been happy. I mean, Terri's was great and memorable. Joe's, though, was kind of perfect. It brought something to Varla and Varla brought something to it.
- Daniel got kicked off! FINALLY. I kind of believe him when he says that he believed his design to be big and wild enough. For him that was probably pretty out there. For anybody else? Not that exciting or new. And definitely not fit for a drag queen.
- This may sound strange, but Blayne's was kind of blah for me. Maybe because it was Blayne? ::shrug:: I didn't find it that interesting or exciting. It was just...there.
- I mostly liked Jerell's design. I could definitely see the problems that the judges had with it, but I also knew they wouldn't be cutting him. Loved the bright blue.
- Keith's was...Keith.
- It wasn't until the runway that I actually got "Farrah Moans." I felt dumb.
- Kenley's design wasn't very exciting, but I did like the overall simplicity of it. Can you really use "simplicity" to describe a drag queens outfit?
- I also loved Korto's design. Especially the fire/flame-like structure on the shoulder. Very cool.
- Leanne really surprised me this challenge. I thought her design was fantastic, fashionable enough to be on a runway but over the top enough to work for Sharon Needles.
- Stella's look was odd. I didn't hate it, but odd.
- I was glad to see Suede's design work out in the end. And Hedda Lettuce really worked it on the runway.
